Relatives complain that resident of Novorossiysk was tortured

Two men held a resident of Novorossiysk in an apartment for several hours and beat him up, his relatives have stated. Suspects have been detained; supposedly, they are related to law enforcement structures.

The incident occurred at night on December 30, 2018.

A 25-year-old young man went to the store for food around 9:30 p.m. Moscow time; he returned home after midnight with signs of beatings and wounds on his body, the "Nasha Gazeta" (Our Newspaper) wrote on January 1, citing the young man's mother.

At home, the guy said that on the way he was stopped by two young men who introduced themselves as employees of some power structure; they twisted his hands behind his back, pulled a hood over his head and dragged him into an apartment, said the mother. According to her story, in the apartment the men began demanding from her son to indicate the place in the area, where they sell narcotic drugs; and when he couldn't say anything, they began deriding him.

"They beat him up with fists wrapped in towels. One of them was holding him, the other one was beating. Then, they began bullying and torturing him ... This all lasted for about three hours," the newspaper quotes the mother as saying. Then, they let the son go. Relatives went to the police; a forensic examination was scheduled for January 3, said the mother.
