Dagestan fighter wins $1 million at a tournament in the USA
Magomed Magomedkerimov, a native of Dagestan, has won the final of the Professional Fighters' League (PFL) in the middleweight category.
The PFL tournament was held in New York. In the decisive fight, the Russian has defeated the American Ray Cooper with suffocating lock.
Two other participants of the finals of Russian origin, Rashid Magomedov and Abusupyan Magomedov, lost to their rivals, the "Sovietsky Sport" reported on January 1.
Magomedkerimov and both Magomedovs are natives of Dagestan, although the latter now performs under the flag of Germany, the "Sport 24" has clarified today.
A PFL champion in any weight category receives a million US dollars. "Dagestan has one legal millionaire more," the "Chernovik" has commented on the Magomedkerimov's victory in its Telegram channel.
