Two Volgograd activists hold pickets against war with Ukraine
In their solo pickets, two residents of Volgograd have demanded not to admit military actions against Ukraine. They came out with posters "Is there money to go to war?" and "War with Ukraine is our authorities' madness".
"We believe that war with Ukraine can start any moment," Vladimir Telpuk, a picketer, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "We went out to protest against the escalation of the pre-war atmosphere. People react differently. Some welcome us; others twist finger at the temples; still others assert that we aren't at war with anyone, 'because they don't tell about it on TV'."
According to Mr Telpuk, a policeman took photos of the picketers. "The police had no claims or complaints," the activist has added.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Volgograd activists are regularly holding solo pickets against the policies of the Russian government. They are, in particular, against Russian military actions and the pension reform. On December 12, seven activists held pickets with such demands.
