Armed clash in Khasavyurt District is the fourth since the start of the year

The murder of an alleged militant in the vicinity of the village of Endirei was the fourth combat incident in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan in 2018.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 7, law enforcers killed an armed man during a special operation conducted in the vicinity of the village of Endirei of the Khasavyurt District. According to a law enforcement source, the casualty was the last member of the Endirei grouping, which is now completely liquidated.

The previous incident in the district occurred on October 13, when a policeman was wounded at inspecting one of the houses in the same village. Law enforcers blocked the house, from where the fire was delivered and killed two people. According to a law enforcement source, the casualties had been members of the "Kizilyurt gang". They were identified as Dagir Gadjiev, 19, and Musa Bilalov, 29, both residents of this village. Two FSB special agents and a member of the "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) were wounded in the shootout, the Russian National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) reported.

A month earlier, on September 13, there was a shootout with law enforcers in the highway between the villages of Kostek and Chontaul, when they tried to stop a car for inspection, but the man opened fire from inside it, tried to escape and was killed, the NAC informed then.

On September 1, in a shootout near the villages of Endirei and Toturbijkala, law enforcers killed an alleged militant of the "Kizilyurt" grouping, who opened fire in response to an offer to lay down his arms. The casualty was then identified as Abas Khubaev, a native of the village of Endirei.
