Dagestan: Kazim Nurmagomedov, who rescued his son from IS, sentenced to three years of imprisonment
The Kizilyurt Court has sentenced to three years of imprisonment Dagestani resident Kazim Nurmagomedov, who was arrested on the charge of aiding and abetting militants after his son had been released from the IS (a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the "Caucasian Knot").
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kazim Nurmagomedov has been under arrest since February 1. According to an advocate, in a SIZO (pre-trial prison), a man complained about health problems.
On February 6, Shamil Nurmagomedov was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment on the charge of financing the "Islamic State", a terrorist organization banned in Russia. He claims that he transferred the money to brother Marat, who was trying to get out of the territory controlled by IS.
According to the defender, Kazim Nurmagomedov was sentenced to the minimum possible term of imprisonment for a person accused of aiding participation in an illegal armed formation (IAF).
The "Caucasian Knot" published an interview with Kazim Nurmagomedov, a father of the Nurmagomedov brothers, entitled "Bring back alive: From Dagestan to ISIL* to return the son".
