Nikol Pashinyan announces replenishment of Armenian budget with oligarchs' money

Alexander Sargsyan, a brother of the former president of Armenia, has agreed to transfer 30 million US dollars to the state budget, and Armen Avetisyan, the former head of the Customs Committee, wants to hand over his hotel worth 20 million US dollars to the state. This has been announced by Nikol Pashinyan, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 11, Arthur Vanetsyan, the head of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, announced that Robert Kocharyan, the second president of the country, was accused of money laundering. It is about several hundred million US dollars, the head of the National Security Service has said. He also promised to disclose the information about financial frauds involving Alexander Sargsyan, a brother of the third president Serzh Sargsyan.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, family members of businessman Armen Avetisyan proposed to hand over the "Golden Palace" Hotel in Tsakhkadzor to the state.

A criminal case was instituted, but apparently, in the hope of a change in attitudes in society ... they decided to take such a step," said Nikol Pashinyan as quoted by the "JAMnews".

However, according to the edition, in response, Alexander Sargsyan, accused Nikol Pashinyan of disclosing banking secrecy, said that all funds were received legally and demanded to unblock his accounts.

Alexander Sargsyan explained that he was engaged in business in Russia and returned to Armenia with a large amount of money, where he also had business.
