Armenian foreign policy gives reason to criticize Nikol Pashinyan

Nikol Pashinyan's opponents criticize him for losing the post of the CSTO Secretary General for Armenia, notes observer Akop Badalyan. Nikol Pashinyan is doing the same thing as the previous authorities, states Boris Navasardyan, the head of the Yerevan Press Club. The new government deserves criticism because of mistakes in foreign policy, believes political consultant Armen Badalyan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the period from November 26 to December 7, Armenia will hold an election campaign before the parliamentary elections scheduled for December 9.

Opponents of Nikol Pashinyan criticize him for an idea to tax guest workers, for a loss of the post of CSTO Secretary General, and also for a lack of a concept for economic development and foreign policy, said Akop Badalyan.

However, according to him, after the "velvet revolution," Nikol Pashinyan managed to maintain stability in the economy, foreign policy, and security issues.

The new government is being reproached for security issues, Nagorno-Karabakh, equality of religious and sexual minorities, Boris Navasardyan notes.

"However, the claims are absolutely unfounded, since Nikol Pashinyan and his team are just trying to do what the previous authorities were doing," believes Boris Navasardyan.

Armen Badalyan believes that Nikol Pashinyan should be criticized for failures in foreign policy.

"On November 24, a year passed since the signing of the agreement with the EU, but no one asked the government what had been done in that direction," Armen Badalyan said.

The political consultant believes that the new government deserves criticism for its "suspended" relations with NATO, European countries, the USA, China, and Arab countries.
