Imam of a Makhachkala mosque reports details of his detention

Nigmatula Radjabov, who on November 26 was detained at the entrance to Makhachkala, was released on the same day. According to the imam, law enforcers failed to explain the reasons for his detention.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 26, Nigmatula Radjabov was detained at a checkpoint of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS). The imam was informed that he was wanted.

"At the police, they spent a lot of time to find out who of the policemen put me on the operational wanted list. And they failed to find that out. One of the policemen approached me, said he knew me, and was surprised why they had brought me there," the "Novoe Delo" quotes the imam as saying.

Nigmatula Radjabov has noted that he had been released "without any protocol drawn up" and that he intends to appeal against the law enforcers' actions, the "Kavkaz.Realii" reports.

Let us remind you that Nigmatula Radjabov is an imam of a Salafi mosque. Earlier, he has complained about attempts of his son's kidnapping.
