Thousands of Nikol Pashinyan's supporters march in Yerevan

The march through most of the Yerevan districts sums up the "velvet revolution," announces Nikol Pashinyan, the acting Prime Minister of Armenia.

Today, the march organized by supporters of the "My Step" bloc has been started in the Nor-Nork District of Yerevan with clapping and drumming. Participants of the march are chanting slogans: "Free Independent Armenia!", "Nikol, Nikol!", and "Armenia!" In their hands, the marchers are holding Armenian tricolours, flags of the "My Step" bloc, and flags with the symbols of the "velvet revolution," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

According to the organizers, several thousand people take part in the action. They are joined by several acting ministers and members of the dissolved parliament from the "Elk" faction. Nikol Pashinyan, the acting Prime Minister of Armenia, heads the procession.

The marchers intend to go through almost all the administrative districts of the capital. The total length of the route, published on the website of the Yerevan City Mayoralty, exceeds 20 kilometers.
