Head of Grigol Vashadze's district office injured in Georgia

Nodar Burdiladze, the head for the election office of Grigol Vashadze in the Oni Region in the north-west of Georgia, was stabbed in his house after a quarrel with activists of the ruling party. This was announced at the today's briefing by MP Nika Meliya, a leader of the "United National Movement" (UNM) Party. The briefing was broadcasted on the air of the "Rustavi-2" TV Channel, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reported.

According to the MP, Nodar Burdiladze was injured by two local activists of the "Georgian Dream" Party. Nika Meliya mentioned their names. The MP explained that the supporters of the ruling party came to the oppositionist's house and insulted him. Then, they stabbed him in the course of the following quarrel. Nodar Burdiladze got injuries to his internal organs, in particular, stomach and spleen.

Nikia Meliya accused the "Georgian Dream" Party of mobilizing criminal elements to put pressure on the opposition before the second round of the election.
