Ingush activists announce subbotnik on lands transferred to Chechnya

The Presidium of the World Congress of the Ingush People has announced a subbotnik in the disputed lands along the Fortanga River to be held on November 17.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 26, Ramzan Kadyrov and Yunus-Bek Evkurov signed an agreement on the Chechen-Ingush border. On October 16, the Chechen authorities declared the entrance into force of the border law; and Ramzan Kadyrov sharply criticized the organizers of the rally in Magas, inviting them to hold a rally on the disputed lands.

The members of the teips (family clans), whose ancestral towers are located in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia, near the Fortanga River, asked the Presidium of the World Congress to help organizing a clean-up day in the territory that was the subject of a dispute at the background of signing the border agreement with Chechnya.

Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the "Mashr" human rights organization and the blogger of the "Caucasian Knot", and Musa Malsagov and Akhmed Pogorov, the co-chairs of the Ingush branch of the Red Cross, are members of the above Presidium of the World Congress of the Ingush People.
