Activist accuses Ingush authorities of kidnapping his nephew
In Ingushetia, unidentified people in masks kidnapped Rustam Lyanov, a nephew of Ibragim Lyanov, the head of the European Ingush Association in Brussels, reported activists. Ibragim Lyanov associated the incident with his activities.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 26, amid protest actions, Ramzan Kadyrov and Yunus-Bek Evkurov signed the agreement on the border between Chechnya and Ingushetia.
On October 2, law enforcers searched the houses of Ruslan Mutsolgov, the leader of the regional "Yabloko" Party, and a number of other activists. According to Ruslan Mutsolgov, the law enforcers explained the search by the investigation into the case against Ibragim Lyanov. Meanwhile, Ibragim Lyanov said that he did not know anything about the criminal case instituted against him.
According to a source of the "Interfax", 1.5 hours later Rustam Lyanov was released not far from the Ingush village of Troitskoe.
Activist Musa Abadiev said that people who visited the Lyanov family's house claimed to be law enforcers. "They kidnapped Rustam, one of the brothers. They put a mask on his head and under the threat of using violence against his brother, they demanded from him to address his uncle Ibragim through a video camera with a request not to voice unpleasant remarks against Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov. They also demanded from the kidnapped young man to apologize for his uncle," wrote Musa Abadiev on Facebook.
Ibragim Lyanov also wrote that the authorities of Ingushetia were involved in the kidnapping of his nephew.
