Chechen authorities change republic's map after "Novoe Delo" publication
The new map of the region posted on the website of the Chechen Parliament has been updated after the critical article of the edition named "Novoe Delo" (New Case), which pointed out a mismatch with the cadastral data on the border with Dagestan, a part of which was ascribed to Chechnya.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the article "New Map of Chechen Republic Affects Dagestan Too", published on November 10, said that Chechen authorities had misappropriated some Dagestani territories – Lake Kezenoi-Am and some territory near the Dagestani village of Ansalta.
An updated map of the Chechen Republic was posted on the parliament's website on November 8. It is placed in the page "Map of Chechnya" in the "Chechen Republic" Section and shows only the lands that are considered as transferred into its jurisdiction under the border agreement with Ingushetia.
