Pavel Grib's arrest extended by six months
The North-Caucasian District Military Court has extended, until April 24, 2019, the custody of Pavel Grib, a citizen of Ukraine, accused of inclining people to commit a terror act.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late July, the above Court returned Pavel Grib's case to the Prosecutor's Office, because of a procedural error admitted by the state prosecution. The Ukrainian was accused under the version of the criminal law, which was invalid at the time of the alleged offence. The Prosecutor's Office failed to appeal against this decision.
Today, Alyona Katskalo, the press secretary of the North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don, has announced that Pavel Grib's arrest has been extended until April 24, 2019, the "Interfax" quotes her as saying.
Let us remind you that in late August 2017, Pavel Grib disappeared during his trip to Belarus. Later, the Russian FSB told Ukrainian diplomats that Grib was kept in the Krasnodar SIZO (pre-trial prison). According to investigators, the Ukrainian persuaded his familiar woman-resident of the Krasnodar Territory to blow up an improvised explosive device (IED) on the graduation line-up in one of Sochi schools. According to Grib's relatives and advocate, he has a disability status and needs permanent medication.
