In the 2nd quarter of 2018, six people fell victim to armed conflict in Stavropol Territory

In April, May, and June 2018, in the Stavropol Territory, at least six people fell victim to the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Of them, four were killed and other two were wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

According to the law enforcement bodies, all killed people were involved in the IAF activities. All wounded were law enforcers.

In April, in the Stavropol Territory, a suspected member of the armed underground was killed in a special operation. In May, five people fell victim to the armed conflict. Of them, three were killed and other two were injured. As a result of an attack on policemen and during an attempt to detain people suspected of involvement in the armed underground, three suspected militants were killed, and two law enforcers were injured. In June, no victims were reported in the region.

In the first quarter of 2018, in the Stavropol Territory, no victims were registered.

The provided statistics cannot reflect the number of victims with the 100 percent accuracy. Not all information is included in the news reports. It is not always possible to check the reliability of the statements voiced by the law enforcement bodies. In 2016, in the Stavropol Territory, also at least six people fell victim to the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, they were killed. In 2015, in the Stavropol Territory, at least two people fell victim to the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, they were killed. In 2014, at least 11 people fell victim to the armed conflict in the Stavropol Territory, including 10 killed and another injured.

In 2013, at least 17 people fell victim to the armed conflict in the Stavropol Territory. Of them, 13 were killed and other four were injured. In 2012, 12 victims were reported in the Stavropol Territory. Of them, 10 were killed and other two were wounded. In 2011, 24 people fell victim to the armed conflict, including 17 killed and seven wounded. In 2010, 89 victims were reported in the region, including 10 killed and 79 wounded.
