Volgograd activists protest against Russia's spending on war

On October 21, in Volgograd, activists Olga Karpukhnova and Galina Tikhenko held two solo pickets against Russia's participation in military operations.

The pickets took place from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the avenue of Heroes.

"I protest against Russia's participation in military operations. The people get poorer, while the big money is being thrown away to war. I only want peace, goodness, and prosperity," Olga Karpukhnova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the activist, passers-by expressed their support for the participants of the pickets. "Policemen wrote down my persons data," said Olga Karpukhnova.

Galina Tikhenko has reported that she came to the picket against the current situation in the country. "Everything is built on lie and fear, wars are going on, social benefits have been withdrawn, and earnings do not grow," the picketer told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
