Armenian parliament announces date of premier elections

In Armenia, the first round of voting in parliament for the election of the Prime Minister is scheduled for October 24. This is reported by the administration of the Armenian National Assembly.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 11, the Prime Minister announced that he was going to resign to ensure the dissolution of the country's parliament and the early parliamentary elections to be held in December. Political analysts suggest that the opponents of Nikol Pashinyan decided not to aggravate the political crisis, and some members of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) went over to his side, "so, he may not fear that he will not be able to take the Prime Minister's chair again." On October 16, Nikol Pashinyan announced his resignation.
