Residents of Vladikavkaz pay tribute to memory of victims killed in Kerch

In the centre of Vladikavkaz, more than 50 people gathered to light candles in memory of the people who fell victim to an attack at the Kerch Polytechnic College.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 17, an explosion and shooting occurred at the Polytechnic College in Kerch. Among the killed and injured people, there were residents of the Krasnodar Territory. Investigators believe the attack was organized by a student.

The mourning action was organized by the committee on youth affairs. Participants paid tribute to the memory of the killed people with a minute of silence.

Passers-by joined the action. "I believe it is a good idea to hold such actions. We ourselves have experienced a similar tragedy (the terror act in Beslan, note of the 'Caucasian Knot'), and we understand them. Moreover, children were killed there. This is very scary," said Veronika, a resident of Vladikavkaz.

After a minor girl died in hospital, the death toll, including the organizer of the attack, reached 21 people, the "Interfax" reports with reference to the Russian Ministry for Public Health.
