UFC President agrees with Khabib Nurmagomedov on further fights
Dagestani fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov will continue to fight at the UFC, while the issue concerning the prolongation of the Zubair Tukhugov's contract has not been yet resolved, reports UFC President Dana White.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 7, at the UFC 229 tournament in Las Vegas, Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Irish fighter Conor McGregor and retained the champion belt in lightweight. After the fight, a clash occurred between Khabib Nurmagomedov and members of the opposing team. The Nevada State Athletic Commission disqualified fighters for 10 days. Khabib Nurmagomedov threatened the UFC to terminate his contract if his assistant Zubair Tukhugov, a Chechen native, who hit Conor McGregor, was dismissed. The UFC will not want to lose such fighters as Khabib Nurmagomedov and Zubair Tukhugov, said Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, a father and a coach of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Khabib Nurmagomedov will continue to cooperate with the UFC Absolute Fighting Championship after he has announced his leave in case if the contract with Zubair Tukhugov is terminated, states UFC President Dana White as quoted by the portal "TMZ".
The UFC President has noted he always has been in good relations with the Dagestani athlete. Dana White has explained the conflict between the rivals with the fact that "the fight with McGregor was very tense" and "Khabib Nurmagomedov lost his temper."
