Magomed Davudov denies involvement in preparing terror act in Moscow metro
Magomed Davudov, a native of Dagestan, refused, at a court session, to plead guilty in the case of preparing a terror act in Moscow metro. He also denied an accusation of having links with the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 25, 2017, in the Moscow District of Novo-Peredelkino, Magomed Davudov, a native of Dagestan, and three natives of Central Asia, who, according to the FSB, were IS* members, were detained. According to sources, the detainees had planned to commit a series of terror acts, including in the Moscow metro.
On October 11, the Moscow District Military Court started considering their criminal case.
After the announcement of the indictment in the court, Davudov stated that he categorically disagreed with the charge. Other defendants did the same, the "Chernovik" reports, quoting Magomedshamil Shabanov, Davudov's advocate, who stated that his client had never been fond of radical trends of Islam and had nothing to do with imputed crimes.
