A Stavropol activist detained by law enforcers, his relatives report
During a search in the house of Muslim Suleimanov, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, law enforcers planted ammunition and took him away to some unknown destination, reported his relatives. They associate the persecution of Muslim Suleimanov with his active civic position.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by advocate Vitaly Zubenko that earlier, Rakhmet Kasaev, a relative of Muslim Suleimanov, a Stavropol student, had been persecuted. In 2017, he was accused of drug trafficking. Rakhmet Kasaev himself associated his criminal prosecution with the refusal to become an informant of the law enforcement bodies.
This morning, law enforcers have come with a search to the house of Muslim Suleimanov and his brother Rinat Suleimanov, residents of the Irgakly village in the Stavropol Territory. During the search in the garage, law enforcers found a checkered bag with a submachine gun and 60 rounds, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a daughter of Muslim Suleimanov.
Meanwhile, the day before the search, there was no any bag with ammunition in the garage, noted the detainee's daughter.
The relatives of the detainee have expressed the opinion that the submachine gun and ammunition were planted by the law enforcers and associated the persecution of Muslim Suleimanov with his active civic position, human rights and charitable activities, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
According to the advocate, he takes measures to reveal the Muslim Suleimanov's whereabouts.
