Kalmykia: observer disappears after talking to investigator

For the last time, Aisa Khulaeva, who shot a video about ballot-stuffing at a polling station, was seen in the investigator's office; she is out of contact for the second day, the Kalmyk branch of the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia) Party has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Kalmyk branch of the above party stated a ballot-stuffing at the September 9 elections in the village of Primanych. The student Aisa Khulaeva, who recorded the video, was detained and stopped communicating; at her university, she received threats of expulsion, the party has stated.

Yesterday, on September 10, Natalia Manzhikova saw Aisa Khulaeva at the investigator's office, Pavel Manzhikov, a representative of the Kalmyk branch of the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "After that, no one ever saw Aisa; we are all now looking for her – we and investigators. So far, to no avail. We know that she was intimidated; they demanded some refutations from her, that's all that we know," said Mr Manzhikov.
