Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of shelling its two villages

The Armenian armed forces 95 times violated the ceasefire in the conflict zone during a day, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 9, the Azerbaijani side claimed 96 cases of shelling of its positions. In its turn, the Ministry of Defence for Nagorno-Karabakh registered 200 cases of shelling from Azerbaijan over the past week, from September 2 to 8.

From the morning on September 9 to the morning on September 10, the Azerbaijani positions were shelled in the villages of Gushchu Airym and Ashagy Askipara in the Gazakh District, as well as at nameless heights in the Gadabay District, the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its website today.

The fire came both from the territory of Armenia and from the territories "near the occupied villages" of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani MoD reported.

As of 8:40 a.m. Moscow time on September 10, the websites for the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh did not released any comments on the Azerbaijani MoD's statement.
