Azerbaijan states machine-gun shelling in conflict zone

Over the past 24 hours, positions of the Azerbaijani Army were shelled for 99 times, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 5, Azerbaijan announced the shelling of five villages in the conflict zone. According to Baku, on August 4-5, the ceasefire regime was violated for 83 times. The MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh, which also regularly reports violations of the truce by Azerbaijanis, counted 150 shelling episodes during the week from August 26 to September 1.

On September 5-6, opponents shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in four villages located in the districts bordering on Armenia. In doing so, the Armenian Armed Forces used large-calibre machine guns, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported.
