Magomed Makhachev's relative detained in Dagestan
Magomednabi Gairbekov, a resident of Dagestan, is suspected of involvement in the criminal community, the creation of which is criminated to his relative, Magomed Makhachev, a former head of the Chief Bureau of Forensic and Social Expertise of Dagestan, investigators have reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 31, a law enforcement source informed about a search of the house of Magomed Makhachev; later, he was put on the wanted list. On July 3, the prosecutor's office stated that Makhachev was suspected of taking bribes worth about 52 million roubles. The court dismissed Makhachev from his post of the Bureau head; and on August 2 Makhachev was detained in Grozny and convoyed to Makhachkala.
Magomednabi Gairbekov has been detained within the inquiry of the case of members of the criminal community, who received bribes for the illegal establishment of disability categories. Being a relative of Magomed Makhachev, Gairbekov had to do with the activities of the criminal grouping, investigators have stated today.
At investigators' request, the court has placed Gairbekov in custody.
