Picketer from Volzhsky complains to FSB about law enforcers' corruption
Today, a businessman from the city of Volzhsky has held a picket outside the building of the Russian FSB, stating that he has faced an attempt to deprive him of his hotel complex, and complaining about corruption in power structures of the Volgograd Region.
According to Mr Bochkaryov, the businessman, his picket in Moscow lasted from 10:00 to 12:00 a.m. He was holding a poster stating the "lawlessness" of law enforcers in the Volgograd Region, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
Bochkaryov filed an application to the FSB, stating that in 2011 he bought a building for a hotel complex, but in 2013 a major banker and the head of a construction company, who was the banker's debtor, "hanged" a huge debt to him. In 2016, according to Bochkaryov, investigators instituted, on his application, a case against the banker about a fraud and falsification of evidence. Bochkaryov himself was recognized as a victim. "However, soon, on corruption grounds <...> the direction of the investigation radically changed; and the criminal case began to be investigated in order to save the very wealthy banker," says his statement that is at the disposal of the "Caucasian Knot".
Mr Bochkaryov said that he had applied not only to the FSB, but also to the General Prosecutor's Office, and also intends to get appointment at the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. "It's my first picket, and I'll stand up to the victorious end," Mr Bochkaryov has stated.
