Social network users discuss beating up of Chechen woman in Kalmykia

Tabarik Dudaeva, a 46-year-old native of Chechnya, living in Kalmykia, filed a complained about beating. Users of social networks from Chechnya demanded to investigate the incident. A lot of users from Kalmykia apologized for the actions of their fellow countrymen.

Tabarik Dudaeva reported that on August 15, she arrived with a car to a store in the village of Bolshoi Tsaryn. There, she was approached by two men, who demanded from her to turn off the Chechen music. The woman refused, and after that she was beaten by one of the men.

The attacker claimed he was drunk. According to him, the conflict had no national background and occurred because of the loud music played in the woman's car.

In social networks, natives of Chechnya sharply condemned the attack on the woman. However, not everyone believes in a fair investigation outside Chechnya.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported about a conflict which took place in Kalmykia between local residents and guests from the republics of Northern Caucasus. So, on April 1, 2016, in Kalmykia, there was an incident involving Dagestani athletes who came to Elista to take part in a freestyle wrestling tournament, entered a Buddhist temple, and started a video broadcast in which they used rough language while speaking about monuments of architecture of great importance for Buddhists. Residents of Elista, who saw the video, arrived at the hotel where one of the sportsmen stayed, forced him out the building, put him on his knees, and made him publicly apologize.
