Putin nominates candidates for heads of Dagestan and Ingushetia

The Russian President has forwarded to the parliaments of Dagestan and Ingushetia lists of candidates for the posts of the leaders of these regions, including Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting head of Dagestan, and Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the current head of Ingushetia.

Apart from Vasiliev, the People's Assembly (Parliament) of Dagestan will consider Kamil Davdiev and Makhmud Makhmudov, the Deputy Chairmen of the People's Assembly of Dagestan.

Apart from Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the People's Assembly (Parliament) of Ingushetia will consider Ilyas Bogatyryov, the deputy chairman of the Committee of the People's Assembly of Ingushetia on Health and Social Policy, and Uruskhan Evloev, a Deputy of the City Council of Nazran, the official website of the Russian president has reported today.

The heads of both republics will be elected by parliaments on a single voting day on September 9, the TASS reports.
