Terror act threat interrupts work in Armenian government building
Today, in Yerevan, employees of the government building were evacuated because of an explosion threat in the Ministry of Public Health. The man who threatened to blow up the Ministry has been established, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
A message about an explosion threat was received today by the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of Armenia. A man called the rescue service at the phone number "911" and announced that he planed to blow up the building of the Ministry of Public Health, a source from the MfE told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Rescuers organized evacuation of all the employees from the third block of the complex of governmental buildings, where the above Ministry is located. The building was inspected, and "the MfE staff found nothing suspicious or dangerous"; after which all the evacuees returned to their workplaces, said the source.
The man who threatened to blow up the building has been established, Edgar Djanoyan, the spokesman of the Armenian Police, has stated.
The man, who threatened to commit a terror act, expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the medical care, rendered to oncology patients, the edition "Aysor.am" adds referring to its source from the MfE.
