Person accused of preparing terror act in Novocherkassk pleads guilty

Today, at a trial at the North-Caucasian District Military Court, Maxim Martynov, a defendant in the case of preparing a terror act in the shopping centre of Novocherkassk, has completely admitted his guilt.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in May 2017, two persons were arrested in Novocherkassk on suspicion of preparing a terror act. During a search of their home, three TNT (trotyl) blocks and an electric detonator were found, investigators have reported.

Today, the North-Caucasian District Military Court has begun considering Maxim Martynov's case.

According to the prosecution, in 2012, Martynov changed his faith to Islam and in May 2017 planned to commit a terror act in the "Arbat" Shopping Centre in Novocherkassk, the "Interfax" has reported.

After the announcement of the indictment, Maxim Martynov has fully admitted his guilt, the TASS reports.
