Tourist from Russia drowns in Georgia
A man who stayed in Poti as a tourist was carried away to the sea during a storm, while a woman who accompanied him was rescued, reported rescuers.
The incident occurred at a beach of the resort city on August 9. There was a strong storm at the sea. However, the tourists who came to rest from Russia, entered the sea despite warning red flags on the coast, the "InterPress" reports with reference to Teimuraz Shoniya, an official from the Emergency Management Service.
The rescuers learned about the death of the man from the young woman, whom they rescued from the water. The body of the 25-year-old man has not yet been found.
