Sochi rescuers find the body of a child drowned in the river

One of the two children, who had tried, together with adults, to wade a river in the Khosta District of Sochi, and who were carried away by the current, was found dead.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 3, in the village of Plastunka in the Khosta District, four persons – a man, a woman and two children (aged 4 and 16) – were carried away by the river they tried to wade. The woman managed to swim out; the man who got a head injury was found by rescuers. At night, 400 people went out to search for the children.

One of the two children has been found, the "Rossiya-24" TV Channel has reported today.

"Rescuers found the body of the teen in the Sochi River," the press service of the Southern Regional Search and Rescue Unit is quoted by the RIA "Novosti" today.
