Chair of Georgian SC resigns

Nino Gvenetadze has resigned because of her health problems, the press service for the Supreme Court (SC) of Georgia reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 20, 2015, Nino Gvenetadze was approved by the Parliament of Georgia as the chair of the Supreme Court. She was selected from among 28 candidates.

"Nino Gvenetadze thanks her colleagues for fruitful cooperation and hopes that the Georgian justice will adequately protect human rights, serve the rule of law, and establish justice," announces the website of the Georgian SC as quoted today by the "Sputnik-Georgia".

According to the press service for the Georgian SC, Nino Gvenetadze has left because of her health problems and the need to go abroad for several months to receive medical treatment there.
