Over 3000 soldiers and officers arrive in Georgia to take part in NATO exercises

All the participants of the Noble Partner 2018 multinational NATO exercises to be held on August 1-15 have arrived in Georgia. In total, more than 3000 soldiers and officers from 13 countries will take part in the exercises.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Noble Partner multinational NATO exercises take place in Georgia since 2015.

This year, 1300 Georgian and 1170 US soldiers, as well as 500 soldiers from 11 other countries, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, France, Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom will take part in the Noble Partner multinational exercises. The exercises will involve about 140 units of military vehicles, including five M1A2 Abrams tanks, Stryker armoured vehicles, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and American Apache attack helicopters, the Voice of America reported on July 25. The purpose of the current exercises is to develop the skills of defensive and offensive operations in the Black Sea region.

The number of current military exercises has increased compared to those of last year. More than 2800 soldiers and officers from eight countries took part in the Noble Partner 2017 multinational NATO exercises.
