Soldier killed in Azerbaijan

Soldier Samed Alyshov was killed during the shelling in the Karabakh conflict zone, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this morning, Azerbaijan has claimed 82 cases of shelling of its positions by units of the Armenian armed forces per day. In turn, the Ministry of Defence for Nagorno-Karabakh accused Azerbaijan of 150 cases of shelling during the week from July 15 to 21.

"As a result of gross violation of the ceasefire by the armed forces of Armenia, Samed Anar ogly Alyshov, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, was killed," the Azerbaijani MoD has reported on its website today.

The MoD did not specify the day of the soldier's death.

As of 2:59 p.m. Moscow time, the websites of the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh posted no comments on the Azerbaijani MoD's statement.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 20, soldier Adil Tatarov was killed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The Azerbaijani MoD also accused the Armenian side of the soldier's death.
