Law enforcers break into rights defender's house in Ingushetia
Law enforcers have broken into the house of Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the Ingush human rights organization "Mashr", a blogger of the "Caucasian Knot".
His house was visited by investigators, accompanied by special agents in five cars, a source of the "Caucasian Knot" has reported.
Mutsolgov has been repeatedly pressed before; thus, on November 6, 2015, armed law enforcers conducted searches in his house and office of the "Mashr". They confiscated documents and computers. On December 9 that year, Mutsolgov was notified that photos of child pornography and files about bandits' activities had been found in his computer.
Then, 13 public organizations of Ingushetia stood up in defence of Mutsolgov; their leaders asked the head of the republic Yunus-Bek Evkurov to ensure the observance of Mutsolgov's right to human rights activities. Representatives of the leading human rights organizations of Russia supported the "Mashr" public organization.
Magomed Mutsolgov was repeatedly summoned to the police for interrogation, but after examinations, experts concluded that there was no evidence of his involvement in any crimes.
