5000 people attend Artsakh Airfest festival in Nagorno-Karabakh

The second annual Artsakh Airfest festival was held at the Stepanakert airport. The event was attended by more than 5000 people.

The festival, held on June 16, was organized by the Ministry for Economy and Industrial Infrastructures of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Ministry for Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Yell Extreme Park, and the Skyball and Sky Club-Paragliding from Armenia.

The programme of the event included demonstration flights of small aircrafts, parachute jumps, and motorcycle shows. Commercial flights on a paraglider, a balloon and a tourist helicopter were organized for guests of the festival. Furthermore, in the evening, a concert of rock bands took place, reported the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, who attended the event.

This year, the Artsakh Airfest is of special interest for tour operators, since out of about 5000 visitors, almost 2500 were tourists from Armenia and other countries, reported at a press conference Artak Grigoryan, the head of tourism management programmes of the Ministry for Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Artak Grigoryan has emphasized that the event will be held every year.
