Conflict of protesters with law enforcers occurred in Dagestan

At the protest action of the villagers of Nizhnee Mulebki of the Sergokalin District, several persons were detained after a skirmish with "Rosgvardia" servicemen, local residents have reported.

Today, villagers went out to a rally aiming to defend their lands, which, as they said, had been illegally sold out by the former chairman of the Kalinin Collective Farm. The protesters said that they had already held several rallies demanding to return their lands to them. They assert that a couple of years ago the former chairman sold the land to a farmer by forged documents, the "Chernovik" writes.

The protesters said that in the morning they went to the square of the district centre, but it was cordoned off by "Rosgvardia" servicemen. Over 200 people managed to beak through into the square, where law enforcers began dispersing people, shooting in the air. Several protesters were detained, the "Chernovik" reports referring to protesters.
