Five participants of Orthodox march detained in Tbilisi

In the capital of Georgia, policemen have detained three participants of the march dedicated to the Family Day of Holiness; before the march, two other members of the neo-Nazi association were detained.

The above three marchers were detained for petty hooliganism and disobedience to policemen's legitimate demands, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has explained.

The "Sputnik-Georgia" reports that the above two members of the youth association "Georgia's National Unity" were taken to the police.

The Family Day of Holiness was established by the Georgian Patriarchate in 2014. On the same day, the world marks the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today the "Movement for Equality" had to cancel the rally in support of sex minorities, because the police could not guarantee the safety of its participants.
