Armenian political analysts: Pashinyan has no clear programme
Nikol Pashinyan has failed to present a specific governmental programme, but if he is not elected Prime Minister at the end of the parliamentary session, the crisis will deepen, Armenian political analysts, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot", believe.
Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the parliamentary faction of the "Elk" bloc, is the only candidate for the Armenian Premiership.
According to Armen Badalyan, a political technologist, Republicans are dragging out time, realizing that they will not overcome the electoral barrier in case of early parliamentary elections and lose the opportunity to use the financial, administrative and other resources.
The Constitution allows achieving the dissolution of the parliament; and Pashinyan has several alternatives to realize his goal, especially since part of the Republicans will certainly go over to his side, the expert has suggested.
Grant Mikaelyan, a political analyst, believes that the opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan has no particular programme yet, but he and his supporters are working on it. Mr Mikaelyan does not rule out that the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will vote for Pashinyan.
Ruben Megrabyan, an expert with the Centre for Political and International Studies, agrees with the opinion that Pashinyan has no clear programme yet. He estimated the probability of Pashinyan's approval for the post of Prime Minister as 50%.
