Karen Karapetyan refuses to negotiate with Nikol Pashinyan (+video)
Today, Karen Karapetyan, acting Prime Minister of Armenia, has rejected the proposal of opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan on the negotiations and announced his disagreement with the ultimatum demands.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at a rally held on April 26 in Yerevan, Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the opposition "Elk" bloc, invited Karen Karapetyan to negotiate the transfer of power to the opposition.
Today, Aram Araratyan, the press secretary of Karen Karapetyan, has reported that the acting Prime Minister of Armenia refused to negotiate with Nikol Pashinyan.
"Negotiations, when one side exclusively dictates its agenda and the other side cannot represent its own position, cannot be considered as talks," declared Aram Araratyan in his statement.
According to him, Karen Karapetyan continues to believe that holding a meeting in front of journalists with cameras already suggests that the goal of the talks is not in achievement of any results. For the above reasons, the acting Prime Minister of Armenia believes it has no sense to take part in the negotiations that do not provide any chance of finding the solutions.
