Resident of Chechnya arrested for recruiting to IS

A resident of Chechnya, suspected of persuading an Ingush woman to go to Syria to take part in hostilities, has been placed behind bars.

According to investigators, in August-September 2015, and from November 2017 to April 2018, the 29-year-old resident of Chechnya was engaged in recruiting potential militants in the neighbouring Ingushetia.

A criminal case has been opened against him for inclining people to join the "Islamic State" (IS) a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, says the website of the Investigating Department for Ingushetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
