Dagestan appears to be within area of probable fall of space station

The China's TianGong-1 space station will enter the atmosphere and burn in it, and some parts of the space station can reach the Earth's surface, the European Space Agency (ESA) reported. The southern part of Dagestan fell into an area of probable fall of the China's space station.

The TianGong-1 space station is now at an altitude of about 200 kilometres, and every day it approaches the Earth's surface by 4 kilometres. Experts predict that in the coming days, the speed of the space station's fall will increase and then at a distance of 70 kilometres to the Earth's surface the station will be shatter into pieces, the ESA reported.

According to scientists, wreckage of the space station can fall to the Earth's surface between the 43rd degree of northern latitude and 43rd degree of southern latitude. This region includes almost the whole territory of South and Central America, the south of Europe, the whole territory of Africa, the Middle East, and most of East and South-East Asia. The southern part of Dagestan also turned out to be in the area of the probable fall, the RIA "Novosti" reports on March 27 with reference to the European Space Agency.

The scientists have specified that the China's space station will start to descend from its orbit in the period between March 29 and April 4. Most of the parts of the space station will burn in dense layers of the atmosphere. Meanwhile, fragments weighing up to 100 kg can reach the Earth's surface, the TASS reports.
