Avetis Avetisyan, participant of "Million Mask March", released before term
The Kotaik Regional Court of Armenia has released Avetis Avetisyan, a participant of the "Million Mask March", convicted to five years in prison, from the courtroom, having satisfied the application for the conditional early relief (CER).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 17, 2014, twelve participants of the "Million Mask March" were sentenced to different terms of imprisonment.
Avetis Avetisyan said that the judge found no reasons to keep him in jail any longer, adding that the decision was quite a surprise.
"The court session was postponed so many times; and I thought that it won't take place today either; therefore, I didn't inform my relatives about it. I came home suddenly, late at night; it was a real surprise for my family," Mr Avetisyan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by phone.
