Armenian CEC announces victory of Republican Party at local elections
Today, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Armenia has published the preliminary data on the elections to local self-administration bodies, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports with reference to the official CEC's website.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 11, the voting at the municipal elections was held in 20 Armenian communities. Residents of Armenia chose community leaders and members of the Council of Elders.
According to the preliminary data, members of the ruling Republican Party were elected the heads of 12 out of 14 communities, the Central Election Commission of Armenia reports today.
It should be reminded that in the evening on March 11, Ermine Arutyunyan, the press secretary of the CEC, stated that the Central Election Commission of Armenia had not received any information about violations committed during the voting at the elections to local self-administration bodies.
