Russian militaries test Iskander-M missile complex
At the "Kapustin Yar" test range, located in the Astrakhan Region, military exercises are successfully over, during which militaries destroyed the command post of the conventional enemy with the help of missile complexes.
As reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD), a ballistic missile of the "Iskander-M" complex was launched to the distance of more than 100 kilometres.
The tests were carried out by the military missile troops of the Western Military District, the MoD's website reports.
"Iskander-M" is an operative-tactical missile complex intended to hit targets at the distance of up to 500 km, the "Zvezda" (Star) TV Company reports.
Alexei Podberyozkin, Director of the Centre for Military and Political Studies of the MGIMO (Moscow State Institute for International Relations) and Doctor of Historical Sciences, has noted the reliability and accuracy of the "Iskander-M" missiles.
According to his version, from the viewpoint of deploying such complexes in the western regions of Russia, it means that possible important objects, located on the territory, for example, of Poland or Germany, will be within their reach, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
