In Yerevan, 14 townspeople evacuated after residential building explosion
This morning, an explosion occurred in an apartment building in Yerevan. No one was injured, rescuers report.
"No one was injured. Rescuers evacuated 14 people. The investigation to detect causes of the explosion is underway," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by an official from the press service for the Armenian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).
According to the MfE for Armenia, in one of the apartments, a load-bearing wall and a balcony are completely destroyed and windows on the second, third and fourth floors, as well as 10 cars parked in the yard are damaged. According to the preliminary version, the explosion could be caused by gas leakage, the "Sputnik Armenia" reports.
