Ingush leader calls on militants' accomplices to surrender
After a counterterrorist operation (CTO) was carried out in the Nazran District, Yunus-Bek Evkurov instructed his subordinates to toughen inspections of the municipalities, as well as passengers arriving in the region and their luggage. Accomplices of the suspects killed in the special operation are promised leniency in case if they voluntarily surrender to the police, the press service of the Ingush leader reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 10, two suspected militants were killed during the CTO carried out in the Nazran District. The killed suspects were identified as Dagestani natives Abdulla Askhabov and Yunus Ibadiev.
The Ingush leader has called on all those who contacted the suspects killed in the special operation to voluntarily surrender to the law enforcement bodies, the Security Council or the Adaptation Commission. "They will enjoy considerable leniency within the law," reported the Yunus-Bek Evkurov's press service as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".
The leader of Ingushetia has also instructed the Secretary of the Ingush Security Council to control the verification of the territories "for suspicious activities."
Furthermore, to prevent terror acts, the authorities of Ingushetia will more carefully check passengers and luggage arriving in the region.
"It is necessary to more carefully check all cargos, as well as passengers' documents," Yunus-Bek Evkurov has stated.
