Military police battalion back in Chechnya from Syria
393 military policemen have returned to Chechnya after 1.5 years of service in Syrian Aleppo, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2016 a battalion of military policemen of the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) was sent from Chechnya to Syria. In June 2017, servicemen of one of the military police units returned to Chechnya.
According to Ramzan Kadyrov, the staff of the military police battalion, who had served for 1.5 years in the Syrian city of Aleppo, has arrived in Chechnya.
A total of 393 fighters have returned to Chechnya under the command of Major Ruslan Numukhadjiev, Kadyrov wrote today on his page in the social network VKontakte.
Let us remind you that in December 2016, when the battalion from Grozny was prepared for sending to Syria, according to sources of the "Caucasian Knot", 12 Chechen servicemen were dismissed from service for refusing to take part in the mission.
