Mothers of missing Dagestani residents want to talk to Vasiliev and Bastrykin

At a protest action, about 20 women, whose sons disappeared in Dagestan, demanded a meeting with acting Dagestani leader Vladimir Vasiliev and Alexander Bastrykin, the chair of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 5, fifteen mothers requested President Vladimir Putin to investigate the violent disappearances of the young men.

"We have learned that Alexander Bastrykin has come to the republic with a visit, and we want to meet him. We want to tell him about our grief, about our kidnapped children," a participant o the protest action explained.

"We are tired of waiting. Investigators do nothing: we receive from them the replies that mean nothing... Stop ruining our youth. If the young people are to blame, then let them be punished under the law," added Umrakhan Gasanova, a mother of disappeared Islam Magomedov.

However, the women failed to see Vladimir Vasiliev or Alexander Bastrykin. The police stated they both left.
